The US Labor Department issued final rules regarding required disclosure of 401(k) retirement plan fees on February 2, 2012.  The rules require companies that administer 401 (k) and other defined-contribution plans to disclose administrative and investment costs to employers who sponsor the plans.  The effective date for the required disclosures is July 1, 2012.  The plan sponsors have 60 days from July 1, 2012 to disclose the costs to workers/employees enrolled in the plans. Companies who sponsor defined-contribution plans will need to contact their administrators and ensure the appropriate information will be available in the time frame required.  Contact the audit team at Dalby, Wendland & Co., for more information on the new rules for 401(k) retirement plans....
