Professional Experience

DWC recruited Mike direct from college in 2004. Since then, he’s built personal relationships with his clients and actively works with them to help them be successful in their financial and personal goals. Mike’s expertise is in business taxation – projections and forecasts, financial planning and consulting, and family-owned business advisory and succession planning. His client base reflects various industries, including agriculture and ranching, wineries and vineyards, families and high net-worth individuals, healthcare, real estate development and investment, and recreation and tourism. He values the perspective of his clients and actively listens to them to provide solutions and recommendations that align with their ideals and goals, and works to help them understand their financial decisions and associated tax implications.

Mike is a big football fan and especially enjoys helping to coach local youth. In college, he played quarterback for the Western State College Mountaineer Football Team and was fortunate enough to play one season professionally in Finland in the American Football Maple League for the Rajaritarit in Lappeenranta, Finland. Mike believes strongly in two things he can control each day professionally and in his personal life, to bring with him a positive attitude and strong effort. His appreciation for all history and family ancestry frequently assures him that “there is always something to learn from our past experiences.”
