Nathan A. Fyock, CPA, to Associate Principal
Nathan “Nate” Fyock is a certified public accountant (CPA) with Dalby, Wendland & Co., P.C.’s, audit office in Grand Junction. Originally from Center, a town located in the San Luis Valley of southwestern Colorado, Nate attained his accounting degree from Adams State University in Alamosa. Since joining the Firm in 2008, he has developed expertise in providing attest and accounting services such as financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, and agreed upon procedures for a variety of clients. His industry specialties include life and health insurance, third party health plan administrators, construction, manufacturing, nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, governmental entities, and employee benefit plans. Nate also assists with preparing business valuations. Nate is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs and serves on the finance committee of Marillac Clinic, a local nonprofit organization and Federally Qualified Health Center in the Grand Valley.
Kelsa D. Frary, CPA, to Audit Supervisor
Kelsa Frary, a certified public accountant, provides audit and accounting services with Dalby Wendland’s audit team in Grand Junction. After graduating from Mesa State College in Grand Junction with a bachelor of science degree in accounting and a minor in computer information systems, Kelsa started her accounting career as an intern at Dalby Wendland in 2011. She specializes in financial institutions, insurance, construction contracting, and employee benefit plans. Kelsa is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs, American Institute of CPAs, Mesa County Young Professionals, and is a board member of Delaney Donates.
Michael D. Brooks, CPA, to Senior Tax Accountant
Michael Brooks, certified public accountant, started with the Grand Junction tax team as an intern in January of 2013, and joined the Firm full time that spring after attaining his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Colorado Mesa University (CMU) in Grand Junction. Michael also earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from CMU in 2007. Michael analyzes financial information; prepares financial reports and schedules; prepares federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses and other organizations; and he excels at research projects. He is a member of the American Society of CPAs, Colorado Society of CPAs, and enjoys being an active member of Young Professionals Network of Mesa County.
Raymond S. Buttermore, to Senior Tax Accountant
Ray Buttermore is a Colorado native and joined Dalby Wendland’s Grand Junction office in the fall of 2012 after graduating with a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Colorado State University, Ft. Collins. He specializes in individual and business income tax preparation and business consulting. Ray is a member of the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce Diplomat Committee.
Mark M. Plantz, CPA, to Senior Tax Accountant
Mark Plantz, a certified public accountant, attained an associate of arts in business degree from Colorado Mountain College (Glenwood Springs) and a bachelor of arts in accounting degree from Ft. Lewis College in Durango, CO. He joined the Dalby Wendland Montrose office in August of 2013. Prior, he worked with a tax and audit firm, and a bookkeeping and payroll company in Durango. Mark enjoys giving back to the Montrose community, especially to causes that support and promote business and benefit families and outdoors. He is the current board secretary for the Montrose Recreation District and a Montrose Rotary Club board director.
Lauren A. Van Roekel, CPA, to Senior Audit Accountant
Lauren Van Roekel, a certified public accountant, is a Colorado native; born in Denver and growing up in New Castle. Following in her mother’s accounting professional footsteps, she attained a bachelor of science degree in public accounting and bachelor of business administration degree in human resource management from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction. After graduation, Lauren joined Dalby Wendland’s audit team in 2012. She is a member of the American Society of CPAs, Colorado Society of CPAs, and a past treasurer for the Young Professionals Network of Mesa County.
